Try your hand at one of three pumpkin slingshots, including one just for kids, and enjoy free tractor-pulled hayrides on the weekends. Kids can visit chickens and a turkey. Concessions are also available on weekends

Patch action: The well-known, fourth-generation Scholz Farm is handing over the festival responsibilities to McMillin Farm, just down the road. Scholz Farm will still be selling their locally grown sweet corn and pumpkins at the festival. You will also find a U-pick pumpkin patch this year, awesome photo ops and impressive fall produce in the market to fill your dinner plates.

Dates and hours: Farm store and pumpkin patch open daily in October. Monday–Thursday, 1 p.m.–dusk and Friday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–dusk.

Known for: Roasted corn, kettle corn and a huge array of pumpkins. This year, they impress with two corn mazes dedicated to football rivals the Cougars and the Huskies.

Patch action: Carpinito Brothers offer U-pick pumpkins, two giant corn mazes and yummy harvest snacks like roasted corn on the cob. The farm's intricately designed maze features a new design every year. Visit the Farm Fun Yard across the street to visit the farm animals, take a tractor-drawn hayride, race rubber ducks, explore the hay maze, feed the goats on the goat walk.
