Real Estate Advice for Senior Citizens

People over the age of 50 usually have different needs than those in their 20’s. As a member of the over 50 crowd myself, I think it’s very exiting to have so many options of how we can use the equity in our homes to have the life we really want!

With options such as a Reverse Mortgage, seniors are able to use the equity in their home in many different ways… For instance, if the homeowner would like to “age in place” the funds available may be used to modify the home to meet needs such as wheelchair access by widening hallways and doorways, or to pay for in home care as needed.

Another exciting use for a Reverse Mortgage is to use the equity in your current home to purchase a vacation home, or the home you see yourself in “down the road”. Many people are taking advantage of super low interest rates to make these additional purchases, and a reverse mortgage may be an option for you to consider.
